File size limits for email and chat apps

The same list the SizeFit app uses for its presets · list updated 2026-10-21

Why “SizeFit aims for” is smaller for email: attachments are Base64-encoded, which adds about a third, and message headers count toward the limit. A 25 MB Gmail limit therefore fits a file of about 18 MB. Chat apps and upload forms count the file itself.

Pick the platform in SizeFit and it compresses to the right number — then checks the file still plays to the end and still has its audio.
